Selector lever mechanism and controls, assembly

Removing and Installing

Note:  Lubricate bearings and sliding parts with lubricant Part No. G 052 142 A2. Check with your Parts Dept for latest part number.

1. Selector lever handle

^Removing and installing; Refer to Fig. 7

2. Sleeve

Engages into grip for selector lever

3. Cover 

^

With transmission range display, display for shift lock and Tiptronic

Lift up to remove 

^

To remove, unlock holding tabs from mounting bracket - 21 - with screwdriver. 

^

Remove connector for transmission ranges and Tiptronic; Refer to  Fig. 6 

4. Cover

^

Separate piece 

5. Trim piece

^

Insert in symbol panel 

6. Symbol panel

With circuit board

^

With integrated Tiptronic Switch -F189. Location, removing and installing; Refer to Fig. 5

s attached to cover - 4 - with clips.

7. Slide cover

To remove, unclip guide from cover - 4 -
