d. Loosen the control plunger locknut slightly, and turn the center:

clockwise to increase clearance
counter-clockwise to decrease clearance, Fig. 9
1/4 turn of the stop screw equals approx. 1.3 mm (0.050 in).

When re-installing fuel distributor, replace all seals and sealing rings.

6.

After adjusting the free play, recheck idle speed, and fuel mixture.
