Condition

The auto-blink feature is inoperative; however, the turn signals function normally.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

The auto-blink feature was not activated when the comfort control unit, J393, was programmed.

This feature triggers the turn signals to blink three times after moving the turn signal lever (up or down) to the point of resistance and then immediately
releasing it. This feature is used when changing lanes on the highway.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Comfort control unit correctly adapted to include auto-blink feature.

SERVICE

With scan tool 505X, select guided functions and follow directions below to activate the auto-blink feature in the comfort control unit J393 (address code
46) for all remote keys in adaptation channels 1 - 4.
