Rear Brake Cables

Rear Brake Cables

Removing

Only possible with released brake cable.

-

Remove center console. 

-

Before loosening hex nut - 1 -, measure dimension -  a -.

-

Note measured value.

-

Loosen hex nut - 1 - until brake cables can be disengaged from compensator bracket.

-

Unclip cable sleeve from mount.

-

Remove both rear wheels.

-

Disengage brake cable from the spreader.

Remove brake disc. Refer to => [ Brake Disc ] See: Disc Brake System/Brake Rotor/Disc/Service and Repair/Brake Disc.

Remove brake disc, brakes 18 Plus => [ Brake Disc, 18" Plus ] See: Disc Brake System/Brake Rotor/Disc/Service and Repair/Brake Disc, 18"

Installing

-

Installation is in reverse sequence.

Brake cable nipple must noticeably engage in spreader.

Install brake disc. Refer to => [ Brake Disc ] See: Disc Brake System/Brake Rotor/Disc/Service and Repair/Brake Disc

Install brake disc, brakes 18 Plus. Refer to => [ Brake Disc, 18" Plus ] See: Disc Brake System/Brake Rotor/Disc/Service and Repair/Brake Disc,
18" Plus

Engage brake cables in compensator bracket.

-

Screw hex nut - 1 - onto pull rod - 2 - until dimension - a - measured before removal is reached.
