Removing

CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Checking ] See: Restraint
Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection.

Switch the ignition on.

-

Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. 

-

Remove left or right sill panel strip.

CAUTION!
Before handling any airbag units (for example, when disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static
electricity ". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

Release connector - 3 - by pressing fitting on connector in direction of Side Airbag Crash Sensor - 2 -. 

-

Remove connector - 3 - from Side Airbag Crash Sensor - 2 -.

-

Remove the bolts - 1 -.

-

Remove Side Airbag Crash Sensor - 2 -.
