Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module or Passenger Memory Seat Control Module

Special Tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095

-

Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136

NOTE:

-

The Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module J136 or J521 is located under the front seat.

-

If Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module J136 or J521 is faulty, the upper seat pan frame must be removed.

Removing

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

-

Remove front seat.

-

Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.

-

Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.

-

Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

-

Rotate memory seat/steering column adjustment control module - 1 -.

-

Release retaining bracket - 4 - and remove connector - 5 -.

-

Press in catches - 3 - (Qty. 2) and disconnect connector - 2 -.
