NOTE:  The bushings - 1 - in the bearings on the lower seat pan frame - 2 - must not be damaged with folding the frame upward.

Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -.

-

Remove the screws - arrows - and remove the height adjustment motor - 1 -.

Installing

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

CAUTION:

-

Damaged bushings - 1 - cannot be replaced with workshop materials.

If the bushings get damaged, the lower seat pan frame - 2 - must be replaced.

Clean the threaded bolt holes for self-locking nuts, for example using a thread tap.

Replace all self-locking bolts.

CAUTION:  Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static
electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example
