Brembo 18" Brake Caliper Assembly Overview

‹› After replacing brake pads, depress brake pedal several times firmly to properly seat brake pads in their normal operating position.

‹› Use Brake Filler/Bleeder Unit (VAS 5234) to extract brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir.

‹› Before removing brake caliper or disconnecting brake hose, brake pedal actuator (V.A.G 1869/2) must be inserted (this dissipates pressure).

Brake disc

‹› Brake disc thickness and wear limit, refer to => [ Front Brakes Brembo 18" ] See: Specifications/Front Brakes Brembo 18"

‹› Must always be replaced together on both sides of axle

‹› Brake discs are directional

‹› Remove brake caliper before removal, do not disconnect brake line but remove bracket => [ (Item 7) Bracket ].

Fitting bolt

‹› Tightening specification: 15 Nm

‹› Brake disc to wheel bearing housing
