Pry brake pads out of the brake caliper with a screwdriver - arrows -; be sure not to damage the dust caps.

Remove brake pads from the retaining springs.
Installing

Clean brake caliper.
Only use commercially available brake cleaner to clean the brake caliper housing.
CAUTION!
Before pressing pistons into cylinder using piston resetting tool, brake fluid must be extracted from brake fluid reservoir. Otherwise,
especially if reservoir has been topped off, fluid will overflow and cause damage.
CAUTION!
Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth!

Press piston back. Use Piston resetting tool (T10145).

Remove any protective film from the brake pad backing plate.

Install the two pad retaining springs in the brake caliper. Make sure they fit correctly.
‹› The long part of the springs faces the center of the brake caliper.

Install the retaining spring for the brake wear display cable into the center of the brake caliper.
‹› The retaining spring for the brake wear display cable faces outward.
‹› In total, three spring are installed in the brake caliper.

Install brake pads inside the brake caliper and push them onto the 4 pad retaining bolts - arrows -.
