‹› Retaining plate - C - is installed only on vehicles with front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) "Comfort" version.

Remove bolts - A -.

‹› Bolts - C - are not loosened or removed to remove retaining plate - B -, they are used to guide the retaining plate.

Pull out retaining plate - B - with control motors downward.

-

Mark connectors - D - to - F - (risk of interchange) and disconnect them.

Disengage mount for wiring harness - G - from retaining plate - B -.

‹› On "Basic" version A/C system, only Defroster Flap Motor (V107) - H - and Left Side Vent Motor (V299) - B - are installed. Left Center Vent

Motor (V110) - K - with connector - F - is present only on "Comfort" version A/C system.

Installing

Check levers of control motors - A - to -  C -, retaining plate can only be installed correctly when they are located in the position depicted (service
position).
