Affected Vehicles

91 MMI cannot be operated via Multi steering wheel operation

Condition

One or several buttons or thumb wheels of the multi-function steering wheel do not seem to operate. However, the Measurement value block 005-007 of
the steering wheel electronics (address word 16) reveals that the correct operation request is transferred via CAN.

Technical Background

Wrong value in adaptation channel 1 of the display/control unit (Address word 07).

Not applicable.

Service

Use Guided Fault Finding. Select Multi function steering wheel present in adaptation channel 1 of the Display/Control unit (Address word 07).
