Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. 

CAUTION!
Before handling any airbag units (for example, when disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static
electricity ". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

Remove left or right 2nd row seat cushion.

Row, 3-Seater

‹› Individual seat, refer to => [ Seat Cushion ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/2nd Row, 2-Seater

‹› Left and right side airbags can we switched on individually.

One connection each is found at left and right below 2nd row bench seat.

Insert side airbag connector - 1 -.

‹› Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.

‹› Ensure wires are not pinched.

Install left or right 2nd row seat cushion.

CAUTION!
Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly,
they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. Maintain personal safety when connecting the battery by staying out of airbag
deployment areas, keeping a distance from belt tensioners/seat belts and ensuring no other people are in the vehicle interior at the
moment when the battery is connected.

Switch on ignition.

Connect battery with ignition on.

Remove switched-off side airbag sticker from rear door frame.

Remove remaining adhesive from door frame with cleaning solution.

Carry out program in "Guided Functions" to activate rear side airbags. The respective adaptation program must be carried out.

Fill out the registration card and send it to the distributor or importer. Remove page 3 of registration card from vehicle wallet.
