Remove belt roller - 3 - from threaded pins and guide belt webbing - 4 - back when removing.

‹› Remove drill shavings and remaining pieces of pop rivets from backrest and seat belt.

Installation

Installation is in reverse order of removal, noting the following: 

CAUTION!
Ensure backrest is engaged (zero position), otherwise it can tip forward uncontrolled.

When installing seat belt, engage belt roller hooks in backrest cut-out.

‹› Replace seat belt cover.

‹› Blind rivet allocation.

Secure blind rivets on the seat belt cover with Special Pop Rivet Pliers (V.A.G 1753A). Align the holes in cover with the holes in the backrest.
Begin riveting from center outward in a diagonal sequence.

Install cover and upholstery from backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and
Repair/Overhaul/Seats - Upholstery, Covers/2ND Row Seat/Covers and Cushion, 2nd Row Two-Thirds Bench Seat without Center Seat.

Insert screw - 2 - in belt anchor/belt webbing -  3 - and then install rubber disc - 1 - on screw.
