Seat Occupied Recognition Passenger Airbag Deactivation Seat Belt Latch

‹› The passenger occupant detection system seat belt latch is only installed on the passenger seat.

CAUTION!
‹› Replace the passenger occupant detection system seat belt latch each time the passenger belt tensioner deploys.

Removing

-

Remove front seat.

‹› Memory seat, electric seat refer to => [ Front Driver Seat Overview ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Power Front Memory Seats/Front Driver Seat Overview

Disconnect clip on seat and wiring harness at connector -  2 - that leads to Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706) wiring harness.

Remove the screw - 4 - which secures seat belt latch -  1 - and remove the seat belt latch.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:
