Rear Parking Aid Sensors

Component location: In lower part of bumper - arrows -.

Removing

Outer sensors:

-

On vehicles with trailer hitch, remove rear bumper.

-

Reach behind bumper cover from below.

Inner sensor:

-

Remove rear bumper cover.

All:

-

Press both retainer tabs to side - arrows - and press sensor - 2 - from outside towards inside.

Disconnect electrical harness connector - 1 - at sensor.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Inner sensor:

-

Install rear bumper cover.

Outer sensors:

-

On vehicles with trailer hitch, install rear bumper.

Vehicles with audi side assist:

On vehicles with audi side assist, Lane Change Assistance Control Module J769 / J770 must be re-calibrated each time bumper cover is removed.
