Rotate Left Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor (G385) - A - approx. 90° in direction of arrow.

Remove Left Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor (G385) - A - from heating & A/C unit. 

Installing

-

Check O-ring seal - D - for damage and proper fitting. 

-

Insert Left Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor (G385) - A - on proper side into heating & A/C unit mount - E -.

‹› An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Left Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor (G385) fits without play in mount - E -.

-

Connect connector - B - to Left Front Upper Body Outlet Temperature Sensor (G385) - A - and check routing of wire - E -.

Install retaining plate with control motors (V107), (V299) and (V110) => [ Retaining plate with Defroster Flap Motor , Left Side Vent Motor and
Left Center Vent Motor ] See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Air Door/Air Door Actuator / Motor/Service and Repair/Retaining plate with
Defroster Flap Motor , Left Side Vent Motor and Left Center Vent Motor.

Install retaining plate with control motors (V108) and (V158) => [ Retaining Plate with Left Footwell Flap Motor and Left Temperature Flap
Motor ] See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Air Door/Air Door Actuator / Motor/Service and Repair/Retaining Plate with Left Footwell Flap
Motor and Left Temperature Flap Motor.

Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order. 

-

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module (J255) and erase DTCs displayed if necessary.

-

Perform basic setting and output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) on the A/C system.
