Plug ATF lines and transmission with clean plugs.
All:

Place selector lever in position "N".
-
Press selector lever cable ball socket - 2 - off of selector shaft lever using Pry Lever - Rmv Outside Mirror (80-200).
‹› The following steps must be performed exactly so that the selector lever cable and/or selector mechanism do not get bent or damaged.
CAUTION!
Hold the cover - 2 - secure with pliers so that the selector shaft cannot rotate when removing the nut - 1 -.
