Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Wood block (hardwood) 30 x 50 x 1300 mm

Removing

-

With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] See: Service and
Repair/Procedures/Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

Remove wheels.

-

Insert wood block between underbody - Arrow A - and upper rear control arm - Arrow B -.

Wood block is needed to press wheel bearing housing down.

Remove nut on left and right screw - arrow -.

-

Now, using wood block, press wheel bearing housing down far enough to remove screw - Arrow -.

Remove nut - 1 - from left and right connecting link -  2 -.
