Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Engine-/transmission jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

‹› 12 mm socket (T10099) or 14 mm socket (T10099/1)

‹› Mount (T10149)

‹› Ball joint puller (T10187)

Removing

-

Remove wheel.

-

Remove the bolt - 2 -.

-

Disconnect drive axle from rear final drive. Use (T10099) or (T10099/1) to loosen bolts - 3 -. 

-

Remove nut from tie rod end and press tie rod end off of wheel bearing housing.

In vehicles with level control system sensor, unscrew nut -  2 -.
