Technical Background
Because of internal wear in the pressure modulation valve in the valve body, the clutch pressure cannot be correctly controlled. As a result, too much
pressure is available when changing gear. This causes hard gear changes.
Production Solution
Internal valve body improvements.
Service
It is not necessary to receive an authorization number from the Technical Assistance Center for the repair described in this bulletin.
1. Try to reproduce the customer complaint so that it can be ascertained that this TSB applies. The following repair must only be carried out if all the
criteria match exactly.
2. Check and adjust the oil level according to ElsaWeb.
3. Perform an adaptation drive.
a. Delete programmed values.
b. Ensure the ATF temperature is over 65°C.
c. Perform basic settings with VAG tester:
