Glove Compartment with Knee Airbags

Removal

CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

-

Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition switched on. 

-

Remove the glove compartment trim. Refer to => [ Glove Compartment Trim ]. See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and Repair/Glove
Compartment Trim

-

Remove the passenger side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Passenger Side Instrument Panel Cover ]. See: Utility Storage
Compartment/Service and Repair/Passenger Side Instrument Panel Cover

Remove the bolts - arrows -.

-

Remove the glove compartment far enough so the electrical connectors can be disconnected.

CAUTION!
Before handling pyrotechnic components and belt tensioner units " discharge static electricity" by touching the door striker pin, for
example.

Disconnect the electrical connector on the central connector.

-

Disconnect the yellow knee airbag electrical connector.
