Seat Forward/Back Adjustment Motor V288

‹› If motor is faulty, lower seat pan frame must be replaced.

‹› Seat is shown without upholstery and without backrest in picture for the sake of a better illustration.

Removal

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

‹› Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge

static electricity ". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

Remove the seat. Refer to => [ Seat ].

Secure the seat on the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136). Refer to => [ Installing Seat On VAS 6136 ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Installing Seat on VAS 6136.

Separate seat pan upper frame from lower frame. Refer to => [ Power Seat Pan ] See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Power Seat Pan.

‹› The inclination adjustment motor and height adjustment motor must be installed in the new seat pan lower frame.

Remove the inclination adjustment motor - 1 -. Refer to => [ Seat Angle Adjustment Motor ].

Remove the height adjustment motor - 3 -. Refer to => [ Seat Height Adjustment Motor ].

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:
