Install the brake caliper with the new bolts - 1 -. 

-

Attach the brake hose bracket to the brake caliper - 3 -: 25 Nm

‹› Brake hose bracket to brake caliper: 25 Nm

‹› Brake hose bracket to crossmember support and suspension: 9 Nm

Install the brake hose - 9 - in the brake caliper. 

‹› Brake hose in brake caliper 16 Nm.

‹› Brake pressure line to brake hose: 16 Nm.

Install brake pads, refer to => [ Brake Pads ]. See: Service and Repair/Front Brakes, With Steel Brakes/Brake Pads

Remove (V.A.G 1869/2).

-

Remove the trim in the front of the luggage compartment.

-

Bleed the brake system. Refer to => [ Brake System, Bleeding ] See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake System, Bleeding. 

‹› Bleed the brake caliper at both bleed screws.

Install the trim in the front of the luggage compartment. 

-

Install the wheels.

CAUTION!
After the first drive, depress brake pedal firmly several times with vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their
normal operating position.

CAUTION!
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
