‹› When removing from the guides, make sure the seal on the respective parking brake cable is not damaged.

Installing

‹› The parking brake cable must not be tensioned or pulled.

-

Slide the left and right parking brake cable through the respective guide in the vehicle interior carefully.

‹› When installing in the guides, make sure the seal on the respective parking brake cable is not damaged.

-

Engage the parking brake cables in the bracket on the underbody. 

-

Install the parking brake cable bracket on the underbody.

-

Slide the parking brake cables through the guides - arrow  - on the left and right brake caliper.

CAUTION!
Make sure the parking brake cable is seated in the guides on the respective caliper so the cable does not rub against the wheel.

Press the adjusting lever - 1 - on the left and right brake caliper down and engage the parking brake cable.

Insert the parking brake cables in the anti-rotation mechanism -  arrow - on the left and right brake caliper.

-

Insert the parking brake cable lock washer - 2 - on the left and right parking brake caliper.

-

Install the center tunnel cover. 

-

Install the engine noise insulation. 

-

Lower the vehicle.

-

Engage the parking brake cable in the compensator on the adjusting nut.

-

Tension the parking brake cable in the adjusting nut.

‹› Before adjusting the parking brake, engage the parking brake lever five times as far as the stop so all the parking brake components are positioned
