Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Releasing Tool (T10006)

Separating

-

Remove drive side trim. 

-

Remove the Brake Pedal Switch (F47). Refer to => [ Brake Pedal Switch ] See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair.

First press the brake pedal toward the brake booster and hold it in place.

Insert the (T10006) and pull it toward the driver seat while counterholding at the brake pedal - 1 -. This presses the retaining tabs - 3 - off the push
rod ball head -  2 -.

-

Pull the (T10006) and brake pedal toward the driver seat to remove the pedal from the push rod ball head.

Connecting

-

Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head locates audibly.

Install the brake pedal switch. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal Switch ] See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair.

Install the driver side storage compartment. 

CAUTION!
Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
