Brake System Vacuum Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose clip pliers (V.A.G.1723)

‹› The vacuum pump is not designed to be serviced.

‹› In case of complains, determine cause with help of function or seal test.

‹› If a malfunction occurs, brake system vacuum pump (V192) should be replaced.

Removing:

-

Remove the luggage compartment liner in the front area of the luggage compartment.

Disconnect the electrical connector on the vacuum pump.

-

Loosen the vacuum hose at the hose clamps with the (V.A.G.1723).

CAUTION!
Do not damage the vacuum hose. Replace the vacuum hose if damaged.

Disconnect vacuum hose from vacuum pump.

-

Release the clip in the direction of the - arrow - and remove it.
