Engine Oil Cooler Thermostat

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Engine Bung Set (VAS 6122)

Removing

-

Remove the left engine oil cooler. Refer to => [ Left Engine Oil Cooler ] See: Left Engine Oil Cooler.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 4 -.

-

Push the engine oil cooler thermostat - 3 - downward -  arrow B -.

-

Turn the oil pipe - 2 - 180° - arrow A  - and remove it and the thermostat from the engine oil cooler.

Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the (VAS 6122).

Installing

‹› Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Oil Tank Assembly Overview ] See: Oil Reservoir/Service and Repair/Oil Tank Assembly Overview. 

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

‹› Replace O-rings.

Clean the sealing surfaces.

-

Install the left engine oil cooler. Refer to => [ Left Engine Oil Cooler ] See: Left Engine Oil Cooler.
