‹› If there are doubts as to whether the connecting elements - A - and - B - are positioned correctly in relation to each other, connect the control
motor terminals 5 and 6 to a 12 V battery via a 5A fuse using an adapter cable => [ Adapter Cable for Activating Control Motors ] See:
Description and Operation/Adapter Cable For Activating Control Motors or a cable from the Connector Test Set (V.A.G 1594C). Let the control
motor run until it has reach an end position (the direction of rotation can be changed by switching Plus and Minus) and watch both connecting
elements while it runs.

Install the connector station on the right central tube.

Install the footwell vent air channel. Refer to => [ Right Front Footwell Vent ] See: Air Register/Service and Repair.

Install the glove compartment.

Install the front center console.
After finishing the repairs, perform the following work on the Climatronic Control Module (J255) using Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information
system VAS 5051/ in the "Guided Fault Finding" function:

Check the DTC memory and erase any malfunctions shown.

Perform the basic setting.

Perform the output diagnostic test mode.
