Evaporator Core: Removal and Replacement

Evaporator

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Protective gloves

‹› Cutter

Removing

-

Remove A/C unit, refer to => [ A/C Unit ] See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.

Remove the refrigerant lines and A/C unit, refer to => [ A/C Unit and Refrigerant Lines ].

Remove the bolts- C -.

-

Remove the refrigerant line bracket - B -.

CAUTION!
There is a risk of injury.

‹› Wear protective gloves.

Separate the housing wall - D - out of the A/C unit at the cutting line - arrow - using a stable cutter (with a point where the blade is held securely
and tightly in the handle).

‹› Make sure the flange - A - is not damaged (it seals the cover to the A/C unit).

Remove the evaporator - C - to the right from the A/C unit.
