Water Drain Hose

Preparation

Remove the windshield wiper arms.

-

Remove the cowl panel trim.

Checking

‹› The water drain may be restricted by deposits on the cowl panel trim (leaves, pine needles, etc.). The water level then raises when going through

car washes or in heavy rain. The water enters through the A/C unit intake air shroud and is blown onto the evaporator with the air by the Fresh Air
Blower (V2).

‹› The water drain hose - C - should drain water that enters the air intake unit - A - in small quantities through the air intake shroud - B - during

normal operation.

‹› The water is drained out of the air intake unit by the water drain hose - C - (via the connection - E -).

‹› A plastic piece - D - to reduce the diameter is insert in the water drain hose - C -. If the plastic piece -  D - is not there, noise may result depending

on the speed of the fresh air blower.

‹› The water drain hose - C - and plastic piece -  D - can be reached after removing the air intake unit.
