Removal

Remove the driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover ] See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Utility Storage Compartment/Service and Repair.

Unclip the instrument cluster gap cover only in the instrument cluster area. Refer to => [ Instrument Cluster Gap Cover ] See: Body and
Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Utility Storage Compartment/Service and Repair.

Remove the instrument cluster.

Mark the center of the hole - d - in the instrument panel with - A - = 37 mm tolerance -2 mm and - B - = 48 mm tolerance +/- 1 mm.

Cover the entire drilling area to protect it from drill shavings.

Drill the hole with a commercially available 45 mm crown drill.

Remove the rest of the drill shavings, for example with a vacuum cleaner.

Remove the nut - 1 - through the drilled hole.
