Air Filter, Replacing

Removing

-

Remove the engine cover - 2 - carefully. Do not jerk or pull to one side.

-

Remove all screws - arrows - from the air filter upper section.

CAUTION!
Danger of causing damage to the air filter upper section made of carbon. 

‹› The screws - arrows - on the air filter upper section may only be tightened with a rubber washer installed.

Disconnect the electrical connectors on the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor 2 (G246) - 2 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor (G70) - 4 -.

-

Loosen both hose clamps - 1 - and - 3 -. 

-

Remove the air filter upper section.

-

Remove the air filter and both mass air flow sensors.

-

Remove the mass air flow sensors from the air filters.

CAUTION!
Check the screen inside the air filter housing for damage.
