Maintenance Charging, with Solar Panel

‹› The solar panel (VAS 6102 A) supports the vehicle electrical system and prevents the battery from self discharging. 

‹› All chargeable batteries can be charged by the solar panel.

‹› The solar panel is connected at the diagnostic connection inside the vehicle. A battery charge may not be connected to the diagnostic connection.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Solar Panel (VAS 6102 A)

Procedure

‹› For more information regarding the (VAS 6102 A), refer to the operating instructions that came with (VAS 6102 A).

Secure the (VAS 6102 A) on the interior rearview mirror - 1 -.

Lay the bottom of the solar panel on the instrument panel -  2 -.

‹› The whole (VAS 6102 A) may not lie on the instrument panel. Only the bottom edge may be used for support. If it touches completely, the color

of the instrument panel could change.

Pull the securing string together so that the (VAS 6102 A) is close to the windshield.

Connect the (VAS 6102 A) to the diagnostic connection - arrow -.
