Power Steering Pump: Testing and Inspection

Checking the Delivery Pressure of the Power Steering Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Hose clamps up to 25 mm (3094)

‹› Power steering tester (V.A.G 1402)

‹› Adapter (V.A.G 1402/3)

‹› Adapter hose (V.A.G 1402/6) (qty. 2)

‹› Shop Crane Drip Tray (VAS 6208)

Test Prerequisites

‹› Sealing of system.

‹› Hoses/lines are not kinked or constricted.

Checking

-

Open the rear lid of the coupe.

-

Remove the left engine compartment trim - arrow -. 

-

Move the convertible top and convertible top compartment cover of the Spyder to the service position.
