Tie Rod

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Ball joint puller (3287 A)

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

Removing

-

Determine dimension - a - from the center of the wheel to the lower edge of the wheel housing before starting work while the vehicle is resting on
its wheels.

Remove wheel.

Remove air guides - 1 - and noise insulation -  2 -.

-

Mark the eccentric washer - 6 - to retaining bracket -  3 - and the eccentric washer - 1 - to retaining bracket -  7 -, e.g. with a felt tip pen.
