Remove (T40177) from the shock absorber piston rod while securing the shock absorber from falling.

Remove the shock absorber from the spring.
Assembling the Suspension Strut on Vehicles with Electronically Controlled Damping (Audi Magnetic Ride)

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:
Tightening specifications.
The color code on the coil spring is positioned at the bottom.

Insert the additional spring => [ (Item 9) Additional Spring ] in the upper spring plate.

Insert upper washer - 2 - with the upper sleeve => [ (Item 11) Upper Sleeve ] and protective boot=> [ (Item 12) Protective Boot ] in upper spring
plate - 1 -.
The protrusion - arrow B - and the impression - arrow A - must be opposite one another.

Place the upper spring plate with washer, sleeve, and protective boot on the pre-tensioned coil spring.
The end of the spring coil - 1 - must rest against the washer stop - arrow -.

Install lower washer - 2 - in lower spring plate - 1 -.
