‹› Press the cutting cord - 1 - away from the instrument panel with the hand - arrow -.

Position the reel device (V.A.G 1654A) as shown in the illustration and continue cutting while continuing to the guide the cutting cord by hand.

Position the reel device (V.A.G 1654A) as shown in the illustration and position the roller with counterhold (V.A.G 1474/1) in the upper corner of
the windshield.
‹› The cutting cord is routed as shown in the illustration.

Slide Cover for Dash Panel (V.A.G 1474/7) between windshield and molded headliner.

Free up the windshield until the cutting cord is no longer guided into the roller with counterhold (V.A.G 1474/1).

Remove the roller with counterhold (V.A.G 1474/1) and continue freeing up the windshield while guiding the cutting cord by hand to avoid
damaging the molded headliner.

Position the reel device (V.A.G 1654A) as shown in the illustration and continue cutting while continuing to the guide the cutting cord by hand.
