Wiper Blade: Service and Repair

Windshield Wiper Blades, Replacing

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] See: Service Precautions.

Removing

‹› The hood must be closed if the windshield wiper will run during the procedure. Otherwise, the voltage supply to the wiper motors will be

interrupted.

Switch ignition on for at least 10 seconds.

-

Switch the ignition off and activate the one-touch wiping. The wiper blades run into the service position.

Raise the wiper arm off the windshield.

-

Compress clip - arrows 1 -.

-

Push wiper blade off wiper arm - arrow 2 -.

-

Remove wiper blade.

Installing

CAUTION!
There is a risk of damaging the body.

‹› The driver and passenger side wiper blades are different lengths.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

Guide the wiper blade - 2 - parallel into the wiper arm - 1 - - arrow -. Make sure wiper arm rest completely in guide.
