Windshield Wiper Motor with Windshield Wiper Motor Control Module

General information

The front windshield wiper system consists of two mechanically independent systems. Each wiper arm is operated by a separate motor. The wiper
motor control modules ensure the wipers move together.

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] See: Service Precautions.

Removing

-

Remove the left wiper arm. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms ] See: Wiper Arm/Service and Repair.

-

Remove the left front wheel housing liner. 

-

Remove the bolts - arrows -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 2 -.

-

Remove the windshield wiper frames - 1 - with the linkage and wiper motor on the rear of the wheel housing.

Installing

‹› Tightening specification, refer to => [ Windshield Washer System Assembly Overview ] See: Service and Repair/Windshield Washer System

Assembly Overview. 

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

-

Insert wiper motor with wiper frame into vehicle.

-

Tighten the bolts.

-

Install the left front wheel housing liner. 

-

Adjust wiper arms. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting ] See: Wiper Arm/Adjustments.
