Front Seat With Faulty Forward and Backward Seat Adjustment Motor Or Defective Control Unit, Removing and Installing

NOTE:

-

If possible: Move seat up.

-

For greater clarity, the illustration shows the seat pan without padding or backrest.

Bolts (4x)
-

Tightening torque 17 Nm

Motor retaining plate

Bolts (2x)
-

Tightening torque 19 Nm

Upper seat pan support

Removing
-

Remove bolts - 3 - (2x).

-

Fold seat forwards.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - (4x).

-

Remove backrest with top support of seat pan.

For faulty control unit:
-

Disconnect connector at forward and backward seat adjustment motor.

-

Move the forward and backward seat adjustment motor with an external power source until the bolts are visible.

-

Remove bolts.

-

Remove control unit.
