Loosen two bolts - 6 -.

-

Remove head-level airbag - 1 - from vehicle.

‹› Installing:

CAUTION!
Note safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions/Technician
Safety Information and side curtain airbags => [ Side Curtain Airbag Safety Precautions ] See: Service Precautions/Side Curtain Airbag
Safety Precautions. 

CAUTION!
Always follow side curtain airbag installation procedure.

Insert center bracket - 2 -.

-

Insert remaining brackets - 2 -.

-

Install two bolts - 6 -.

-

Tighten bolt - 7 -.

-

Secure airbag module to B-pillar with two bolts - 5 -. Refer to => [ Side Curtain Airbag Fastener to B-Pillar ].

Secure three brackets - 2 - using three bolts -  5 -.

-

Install last bolt - 5 -.

-

Install outer bolts - 4 -.

-

Install center bolt - 4 -.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect the battery ground (GND) strap.

‹› Follow safety measures after connecting battery.

‹› If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ( K75) shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle

Diagnostic, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A), cleared and then rechecked.

‹› Tightening specification 4 Nm

‹› Self-locking

‹› Replace after each disassembly

‹› Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)
