Remove head-level airbag - 2 - from vehicle.

‹› Installing:

CAUTION!
Always follow side curtain airbag installation procedure.

Insert brackets - arrows -.

-

Secure four brackets - arrows - beginning from behind with four bolts - 4 -.

-

Install three bolts - 3 -.

-

Install last bolt - 5 -.

-

Install four bolts - 7 -.

-

Install bolt - 6 -.

-

When connecting harness connector - 1 -, make sure that it is firmly engaged.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

Switch on ignition.

CAUTION!
No one should be in vehicle when connecting battery.

Connect the battery ground (GND) strap.

‹› Follow safety measures after connecting battery.

‹› If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ( K75) shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle

Diagnostic, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A), cleared and then rechecked.

Bolts (Qty. 3)

‹› Tightening specification 3.5 Nm

‹› Self-locking

‹› Replace after each disassembly

‹› Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)

Screws (Qty. 4)

‹› Tightening specification 3.5 Nm

‹› Self-locking

‹› Replace after each disassembly

‹› Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)

‹› Tightening specification 3.5 Nm

‹› Replace after each disassembly

‹› Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)
