Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706 )

Removing

CAUTION!
Observe the safety precautions for repairs on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System General Safety Precautions ] See: Air Bag/Service

Disconnect the battery ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove the passenger seat.

-

Mount the Fixture For Seat Repair (VAS 6136) on the Engine And Transmission Holder (VAS 6095).

-

Attach the front seat to the Fixture For Seat Repair (VAS 6136).

Remove the backrest from the. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front
Seats power seat => [ Front Backrest ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Power Front Memory Seats.

Disconnect connector - 6 -.

Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

Remove cushion from cover. Refer to => [ Seat Pan Cover and Cushion, Standard Seat ] See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and
Repair/Overhaul/Seats - Upholstery, Covers/Front Seat Covers and Cushion, => [ Seat Pan Cover and Cushion, Standard Seat ] See: Body and
