Tighten the shift rod bolt - arrow -. Tightening specification => [ (Item 17) Internal hex bolt - 23 Nm ] See: Selector Rod, Connecting Rod and
Push Rod Assembly Overview.

‹› Shift lever position must not change after tightening screw.

Checking Function

‹› The shift lever must rest in the 3rd/4th gear gate when transmission is in neutral.

Actuate clutch.

Select all gears several times. Pay special attention to the R gear lock function.

‹› You must only be able to shift into reverse gear after activating reverse gear lock.

‹› The shift lever must move from the reverse gear gate into the 3rd/4th gear gate on its own.

‹› Should a gear fail to engage smoothly after repeated selection, then repeat the selector adjustment.
