Drivers Seat Height Adjustment Motor V245 Or V246, Removing And Installing

Removing

CAUTION:

-

Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

-

Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically discharge". This can
be done by touching door striker, for example.

Remove seat.

-

Attach seat to Fixture For Seat Repair VAS 6136.

-

Remove tunnel side trim.

-

Remove tunnel side trim panel.

-

Remove front backrest.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 4 - on Drivers Seat Height Adjustment Motor V245 - 2 - or Front Passenger's Seat Height Adjustment Motor
V246.

-

Disconnect seat pan upper frame - 1 - from lower frame - 3 -.

-

Remove seat pan upper frame with cover and upholstery from lower frame.

-

Remove bolts - 2 -.

-

Remove Drivers Seat Height Adjustment Motor V245 - 1 - or Front Passenger's Seat Height Adjustment Motor V246 toward center of seat from
seat pan lower frame - 3 -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
