Brake Pads, FNR- G 60

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (VAG 1331)

‹› Torque wrench (VAG 1410)

‹› Brake pedal actuator (VAG 1869/2)

‹› Piston resetting tool (T10145)

‹› Torque wrench (VAG 1332)

Removing

‹› Mark the brake pads when removing them if they are to be reused. Reinstall in their original position to prevent uneven braking.

‹› The brake rotor is secured with a Torx bolt.

Raise the vehicle.

Remove the wheels and tires.

Remove the brake rotor Torx bolt.- 1 -.

-

Use a screwdriver to pry off the brake pad retaining spring from the brake caliper housing and remove.

-

Disconnect the electrical connector for the brake pad wear indicator.
