Brake Caliper Assembly Overview, C41 and C43

Rear wheel brakes with automatic adjustment

‹› Install all parts supplied in the repair kit.

‹› After replacing the brake pads, depress the brake pedal firmly several times with the vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in

their normal operating position.

‹› To extract brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir, use a bleeder bottle that only comes into contact with brake fluid. Brake fluid is poisonous

and must never be extracted by mouth using a hose!

1 - Self-locking hex bolt, 35 Nm

‹› Always replace.

‹› Counter hold guide pin when loosening and tightening.

2 - Brake caliper housing

‹› Remove before replacing the brake pads.

‹› Do not twist the hose when installing.

‹› Do not disconnect the brake hose when changing brake pads.
