Obtain the owner's written consent (see Control Module Tuning form) for any requested repair - under warranty or outside warranty - that
requires flashing that will automatically overwrite the tuned program.

Check the software part number and software level in the ECM.

Prior to beginning the SVM process, insert a USB memory stick into the VAS 505X tester to capture the diagnostic log electronically. In case
TAC support is required, attach the diagnostic log to the ticket. The TAC consultant will need this log to assist you.

Update the ECM using the SVM action code as listed in the table below if necessary.

For A4 (B7), always use the 6017B K Line Adapter to ensure communication to all modules.
