 Open quick-release fasteners -1- and -2- and lift off engine cover panel (arrows).

-

Unplug connector (arrow) on Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-.

Testing voltage supply

Connect multimeter (voltage measurement range) between contacts 1 and 3 on connector.

Switch on ignition.

Specification: approximately 5 Volts

If specification is not attained

-

Connect test box V.A.G 1598/31 to wiring harness connectors; do not connect engine control unit. Attach ground clip of test box to chassis (not
shown in illustration).

WARNING:  To prevent damage to electronic components, switch to respective measuring range before connecting measuring cable and
observe test prerequisites.
