Vehicle Information

01 MIL on (DTC P1127, P1129, P1136 & P1138)

Condition

DTC P1127, P1129 , P1136 and P1138 may be stored in memory due to air leaks at the MAF sensor seal(s).

Technical Background

This condition is usually associated with MAF sensor removal where seal(s) are not correctly installed prior to MAF sensor installation.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service

1. Remove air filter housing assembly.

Refer to Repair Manual >> 4.2 Liter V8 5 V Bi-Turbo Engine Mechanical >> Engine Code(s): BCY >> Air filter housing, removing and
installing.

NOTE:  

MAF sensor seals must remain in the rear air pipes. If a seal is withdrawn from the air pipe during MAF sensor removal, both seals must be
replaced.

2. Without removing seals from air pipes, inspect seals for damage.

3. Replace both seals if either seal has damage to the sealing lip.
